How have you found your first year in the KBB industry?


My first year in the KBB industry has been a whirlwind of learning, adapting and discovering just how much there is to know. Every day has brought new insights into the way the industry operates, from design trends to customer expectations and I feel like I’m only just scratching the surface. One of the highlights has been connecting with incredible people, seasoned professionals who have been in the industry for decades and are generous with their knowledge. I’ve been told that once you step into the KBB world, you rarely leave, and now I completely understand why! The combination of creativity, technical expertise and collaboration makes it a genuinely exciting space to grow in, and I feel fortunate to be part of it.

 

What were your first steps in building our marketing function and brand story?


Marketing at Lamtek

When I first started, my focus was on understanding who we are as a brand and how we want to show up to our customers. I spent time reviewing all our existing materials, assessing what worked and identifying areas where we could strengthen our identity. From there, I concentrated on building solid foundations: creating clear processes, shaping a consistent tone of voice and defining a compelling story that truly reflects what makes Lamtek unique. It wasn’t just about organising and tidying up, it was also about injecting creativity and personality into everything we do. By aligning our messaging and visual identity, we were able to create a marketing function that not only looks cohesive but also resonates meaningfully with our customers and partners. It’s been incredibly satisfying to see these foundations start to shape the way Lamtek is perceived in the market.

 

Which projects have been the most rewarding for you so far and what made them stand out?


For me, setting up our online presence has been especially rewarding. Watching more people in the industry discover Lamtek and start talking about us has been hugely motivating, it’s great to see the recognition the company deserves. Beyond visibility, the initiatives that focused on clarity and support have been the most impactful. Projects like improving product information, updating our digital presence and creating practical resources for partners to share with their customers have made a tangible difference. What really surprised me was how quickly these improvements drove results. Even small tweaks like clearer product messaging or more engaging visuals, led to stronger engagement and positive feedback from our partners. It’s been incredible to witness how thoughtful marketing can directly support the business and make a real impact on relationships in the trade.



Where do you see Lamtek heading in the market?


The KBB market is constantly evolving, but I see Lamtek moving toward becoming a leading solution for high-volume contract kitchen orders. Our products are designed to save time without compromising on quality, which positions us perfectly for companies that need efficiency, reliability and style. As we continue to innovate and strengthen our offerings, I see Lamtek carving out a reputation as the go-to brand for trade customers who value both performance and consistency. The future is about scaling, refining and ensuring we remain the trusted partner in an increasingly competitive market.

 

Looking ahead, what opportunities excite you most for elevating the brand within the KBB trade sector over the next year?


There are so many exciting opportunities on the horizon! One of the biggest is the chance to tell our story in a more impactful and engaging way. I’m particularly excited about exploring video content, creative campaigns, refreshed product launches and modernising our visual identity. As our marketing function grows, there’s huge potential to raise Lamtek’s profile within the trade sector, build stronger connections with partners and create memorable experiences for our customers. I’d love to help plan the company’s first trade show, as it’s a great opportunity to showcase our products and highlight why Lamtek stands out as a leader in cabinet manufacturing. Being part of that journey and helping to shape the brand’s future is incredibly motivating, I can’t wait to see what the next year brings!
